Rimante Mikuloviciute is a London based painter currently working towards Masters in Painting at Royal College Of Art. She studied painting at the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm and the Academy of Fine Arts in Vilnius. Mikuloviciute's work has been exhibited in Sweden, the UK, and Lithuania.

Working primarily with oil painting, she relies on specific temperature and mood to evoke a sense of place, often incorporating subtle elements of humour in her work.

Artist Statement

My paintings draw from moments witnessed and lived, sometimes misremembered and then reimagined in paint. My work is concerned with memory as space and space as memory. Through personal history deeply rooted in place I am entangling memories real and imagined into layered works where the line between human presence and absence sways and expands. I aim to conjure an atmosphere that's both playful and mystical.
